PesaMatrix: The beginning

Drumroll…. please!!! 🥁🥁

This is the brainchild of a few guys seated at the cafe wondering, “why are all solutions either too complicated to use, or are too constrained/opionated?”

Presenting PesaMatrix: a financial application targeted at the banking sector.

Vision

A “one shoe fits all” solution is to complex to develop and usually a pain to use. Which is why, we couldn’t find a solution that was useable for the features required. Did anyone try? Probably. But we couldn’t find them.

So, we set out on an ambitious project. We can’t develop a solution that caters to every one, but we sure will try. Will it take time? Yes. Blood, sweat and tears(hopefully not mine)? Par for the course.

Solution

PesaMatrix, the solution that we came up with, is a system prepared to cater to as much as our users require. Gone be the days where software defines the company’s workflow, rather than enhances it. No more opinionated views on how a workflow should proceed. Granted, while some workflows may be straightforward (e.g. different users shouldn’t share the same email), a lot of the other workflows are gray areas. These are defined by the company’s structure, traditions, experience s, etc.

We aim to cater to our users’ diverse needs. Flexibility is our goal, while maintaining stability and performance. As the old adage goes, “the customer is always right” (I believe within reason). Our users are creative, innovative, and daring. The goal is to keep up with them, if not lead the way. However, at the end of the day, we are all human (no code bots here), so as always, a nudge in the right direction is always welcome.

Methodology

How will we achieve this?

Would there be any better way than through the users themselves? Should they share with us their experiences, issues and recommendations, we will strive to integrate them into the product.

The gory details of how this is achieved are hidden behind the scenes. However, for the brave ones who dare delve into the abyss, the data will be available to you to access. Simplicity is our offer, but for those who disagree, we’re not apt to shying away.

Should I be afraid?

No. Progress takes courage. Walk with us. See how far that courage goes. Don’t shy away. An opportunity may be hidden behind the obscure curtains of uncertainty.

When is this coming? Where to I find it?

All good things take time. Our blood, sweat, and te… Sorry, I meant, we are hard at work. Striving to provide it to you. In all its glory that we promised.

Conclusion

Well, this is where I sign off. For now. A long journey awaits us. One that is fraught with uncertainty, for that I am sure. However giving up is the privilege of the unwilling; and we will, hopefully, deliver something worth the wait.

Technology is an evolving field. What was impossible yesterday is imaginable today, and solvable tomorrow. For should we be unable to unable to achieve our goals, our experience may prove to valuable to the ones who will.

So stay tuned. And don’t give up the hope.
